
After a profound and powerful spiritual experience in 1986, I began a spiritually focused life. I also began a lifelong exploration of the psychological and spiritual nature of being human.
In 2005 I qualified as a certified hypnotherapist. I now have an MA in Mindfulness Based Psychotherapeutic Practice, a Mindfulness-based therapy, and I am currently studying for a doctorate in clinical psychology.
I have been practicing meditation since 1986, and have been a workshop leader in Mindfulness-based practices all over the world since 2000. I have also authored several books on meditation and mindfulness as a healing and therapeutic practice.
I have a background in the arts and completed an MA in Performing Arts before leaving the UK in 1996. I then spent most of my time In Indian ashrams and Thai monasteries doing voluntary work, spiritual practices and study until 2001.
I see therapy as a process that happens in the relational space between myself and my clients, it is, therefore, something that we do together. In therapy, I will meet you exactly where you are, with compassion and without judgment. I will then journey with you on the road to greater mental emotional and spiritual wellness.
I do not adhere to a pathologizing perspective of mental health, rather seeing our mental/emotional challenges primarily as the evidence of our unhealed, unresolved, or incomplete past.
I have lived on Maui, Hawaii with my family since 2005.
